Description
Vladimir Kagan early rare high back barrel lounge chair and matching ottoman with angled splayed maple legs, USA, 1950s. This Kagan high back lounge chair model is large in scale with wonderful organic curves in the slightly curved back, arms, and seat bottom. Designed in 1947, the Barrel chair was Kagan's first signature piece and was included in the inaugural Kagan-Dreyfuss catalog. Truly an iconic Kagan mid-century design.
The lounge chair together with the matching ottoman are fully restored and newly upholstered in a luxurious Holland & Sherry Brunswick Snow (ivory or white) boucle, and are inviting and comfortable. -
