Description
This rare and stunning set of four "Clos" dining/ game table chairs were realized by Vladimir Kagan- one of the most celebrated designers of the 20th century- in the United States, circa 1975. This set represents a rare iteration of Kagan's iconic "Clos" chairs feature channel detailing on the seats, front and back. The chairs offer a graphic silhouette with rectilinear translucent Lucite legs; and subtly concave back and streamlined detailing (seats and backs (an homage to Art Deco design). Additionally, the chairs are on castors, allowing them to be easily moved in any interior space. They have been newly reupholstered in Holly Hunt melange upholstery offering a tight rectilinear weave in hues of onyx, java and taupe. The set retains the original tags reading "Vladimir Kagan Designs Inc." Excellent restored condition.
