Pair of Warren McArthur twin Aircraft seats model 154-2D designed for the Douglas Aircraft Company and photographed at the factory in August of1943 for their military transport plane the C-47 (DC-3).
The angled base tubes are unique to this variation of his classic line of Model 154-2 twin passenger seating.
The other variations of this aircraft seat: Models; 154-2, 154-2A, !54-2B, 154-2C, 154-2E, 154-2F, 154-2G, 154-2H and 154-2J all have support tubes that are not angled in..
Each seat is adjustable to 5 reclining positions typical of McArthur's aircraft passenger seating.
