Description
Late 18th century Shropshire or Staffordshire oak dresser base, the quarter sawn plank top with mahogany cross banding, over three drawers similarly banded, and standing on front cabriole and rear square legs, both with later (but elegant) extensions. Bearing an old storage label from Wyle Cop (a street name) in Shrewsbury, reputed to be the longest stretch of shops in the UK.
