A good north Germany (possibly Hamburg) Biedermeier Cylinder Bureau overall of beautifully figured mahogany veneers; as the writing surface is pulled outward the cylinder top opens to reveal various burlwood drawers and a central arched compartment all over a writing surface with inset hand-tooled black leather; the cabinet fitted with three small drawers above the cylinder plus three long drawers below; the whole raised on bracket feet
