This 19th-century Swedish chest of drawers, circa 1880, is a fine example of Scandinavian craftsmanship and design. Constructed from pine, a wood commonly used in Swedish furniture for its durability and adaptability, this piece features clean lines and understated elegance.

The chest’s painted finish, in a soft, neutral tone, reflects the traditional Swedish aesthetic of light, airy interiors. Its façade is adorned with diamond-shaped paneling on the sides, fluted corner accents, and three rows of drawers with simple yet elegant brass ring pulls. The tapered feet add a sense of lightness to the sturdy frame, maintaining its graceful appearance.
