Description
This beautiful 19th-century Swedish Gustavian secretary combines functionality with classic elegance. The top section features two lockable glass-paneled doors with original cast glass (one pane replaced over time) and two fixed-height shelves within. The interior is painted in a soft gray-blue tone, contrasting beautifully with the light gray exterior. A decorative crown with a delicate strip adorns the upper section. Below, the secretary desk offers a practical workspace with four small brass-knob drawers, eight compartments, and a lockable compartment within the flap. The flap itself locks securely. The lower section consists of four spacious drawers arranged in three rows, all fitted with functional locks and elegant brass handles. Crafted from dark oak, mahogany, and pine, this piece is finished in a charming light gray patina, showcasing its Gustavian heritage and timeless appeal.
