This elegant early Biedermeier ash wood bureau-commode is the best example of top-quality Viennese piece from circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
This elegant Biedermeier piece has beautiful, ash wood veneer with lovely light deep amber color and 200 hundred years old patina.
The fitted interior with four small drawers is veneered mostly in maple with ebonized accents.
The drawer with the writing ebonized surface pulls out easily.
The top edges of the sides of the piece are rounded with fine carved details which gives the piece a very elegant character.
This high quality Viennese Biedermeier commode is very rare and difficult to find.
The piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
