Description
A Dutch oak buffet à deux-corps from the late 18th century, with glass doors, canted sides, carved panels and central clock. Born in the Netherlands during the last decade of the 18th century, this oak buffet à deux-corps features a bonnet-shaped cornice sitting above two glass doors flanking a central clock. Showcasing a pewter face engraved with "Paquais Toiris à la Haute Chausée de Montégnée 1793, the clock visually distributes the upper section beautifully. The canted sides and glass panels will allow for convenient display of decorative objects, while the lower section presents the buffet, carved with shells and scrolls. Resting on large bun feet, this Dutch 18th century buffet à deux-corps will make a real statement in any dining room or living room.
