    Width: 43 5/8 inches
    Depth: 21 inches

    Reference: The Judkins and Senter attribution is based on construction techniques such as the demi-lune drawer supports and the decorative use of heart shaped escutcheons on the drawer fronts. Please see Brock Jobe's Portsmouth Furniture Masterworks from the New Hampshire Seacoast, number 33, pages 178-180, specifically plate 33B and number 22, page 145. The chest was in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's exhibition American Art from American Collections and in the accompanying catalog, number 54, page 28.
