This elegant and rare early Viennese Biedermeier Secretaire was made in Vienna c. 1825.

The secretaire is an example of beautiful, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship.
Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

The drawers and walnut and fruit wood gallery with one secret compartment and six drawers set between ebonized columns emphasizes the elegant character of this secretaire.
The piece have highly figured walnut veneer with beautiful light deep amber color.
The hardware is original.
