These nightstands or end tables were designed by Franklin Shockey and feature a solid carved pine construction. This pair has been professionally black-stained, stain lacquered, waxed & hand burnishing. This restoration accentuates the curves of the piece and elevates it further than the original finish. It also allows the large oval brass drawer pull to sharply contrast with the rest of the piece. Each is signed in the interior of the drawer.

Condition: Full restoration includes stripping of old worn finish. Some light sanding. Black stain on all surfaces. New satin lacquer top coat. Hand burnished with wax. Note that some of the grain and minor light dents are visible, which enhances the overall look and feel.
