French 19th Century Empire Style Commode

Description
A French marble top commode made of bookmatched burl mahogany and decorative Empire style ormolu. The commode’s top is a Saint Anne marble with curved front edges making for a durable and attractive surface. The top drawer is hidden, just under the marble, and is free of hardware. Two pilaster columns flank three drawers with brass ring pulls and escutcheon plates. All four of the drawers are lined with a green patterned fabric. The commode rests on a plinth base lifted on block feet. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this antique is ready for your immediate use.
