French 19th Century Solid Walnut Empire Armoire

Description
A towering French Empire armoire from the late 1800s, made of beautifully figured walnut. The pronounced crown hangs over a frieze decorated with a marquetry star above each ½ round pilaster on the sides and one star at the center. Each paneled and carved door features bookmatched walnut with horizontal diamond shaped panels in the middle, bisected by an implied pilaster accented with another marquetry star in the middle. The right door contains the working lock (one key included) while the left door hooks to an interior shelf. Four shelves included, three are freely adjustable on sawtooth brackets. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax this impressive antique storage piece is ready to join your interior. View the detailed images.
