French 19th Century Walnut Commode/Desk

Description
This 19th century French commode has a resourceful design that incorporates a fold out desk into its top drawer. The case piece has five drawers in total, with the bottom-most hidden in the antique’s skirt. The second drawer contains a working lock and has the ability to have its front folded down, creating a functional work surface. The drawer also has four interior drawers, as well as a cubby. The work surface has a height of 28 ½”. One key is included with this piece. The whole sits on simple block form walnut feet. This piece has a wonderful patina, showing its age. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax this antique is ready for your immediate use. Be sure to view the detailed images. Circa 1860. When the desk is open the total depth is 32”.
