French Art Deco Parchment Sideboard, 1940s
This sideboard is a wonderful representative of the exuberant French Art Deco style, created in the 1940s. It has two front doors with two central silver handles inspired by Asia and shaped like a circle. It is finely covered in parchment on the front, a very recognisable element of this movement and present in pieces by such notable designers as Aldo Tura, Osvaldo Borsani and Maison Dominique. It stands on straight legs, which lighten its robust structure. The top is crowned with an exquisite Portoro marble that integrates the tones of the rest of the piece in its beautiful veins.
