Description
A French Louis XV style wooden buffet from the late 19th century, with molded doors, carved apron and cabriole legs. Created in France during the last quarter of the 19th century, this Louis XV style wooden buffet features a rectangular planked top with rounded corners in the front, sitting above two elegant doors. Showcasing arching accents, the doors are topped with a horizontal cartouche with carved foliage and are adorned with molded frames. They open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The façade is completed by a carved apron with scrolling patterns and central rosette. The sides present recessed panels and the back is simply planked. The ensemble is raised on four legs, cabriole in the front and straight in the back. With its graceful lines, delicate décor and lovely rustic character, this French Louis XV style wooden buffet circa 1880 will make for a great addition to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or dining room!
