Description
Late Renaissance / Early Baroque Buffet or Dressoir, of Swiss or German origin and dating from the early 17th century. Made of walnut with richly inlaid decorations of fruit wood and maple, and adorned with female and male beautifully carved term figures. The cabinet is in three parts, showing an interesting architectural concept of design, the baldachin containing two drawers, supported by two columns, the recessed middle part featuring a domed niche flanked by drawers, the bottom part having one large door opening to an interior with one shelf, variable in height.

Origin: Germany Period: Pre 18th Century Materials: Wood, Inlay, Carving Condition: Good. The piece is shown in "as found" condition. Clean-up, solidifying of joints, re-gluing of moldings, where necessary, replacing missing back to the top part will be done by our restorers.
