Description
Beautiful set of three cabinets forming a large sideboard designed by Guido Faleschini and produced by I4 Mariani in Italy for Hermès boutiques in the 1970s. This set presents two cabinets with off white lacquered doors with Hermès tan leather handles, grey suedine upholstery on the sides and inside the cabinets, and black opaline glass tops and shelves inside. And also one smaller cabinet with six drawers with brushed steel handles, grey suedine upholstery on the sides and inside, and a black opaline glass top. These pieces were displayed and available for custom order at select Hermès retail locations in the 1970s. The set feels imposing and glamourous, with thick, straight lines of brushed steel adorning its exterior of reflective off white lacquer. The offe white lacquer, paired with grey suedine, brushed steel and tan leather, feels crisp and luxe. Of high-quality material, this sideboard has been fully restored, relacquered, suedine reupholstered, and the set is found in an amazing condition.
