    About the artist:
James Anthony Bearden is an abstract artist known for his sculptural creations. He has been working as a full-time sculptor since 2007. Bearden obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine Art and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communications from Grandview College in Des Moines, Iowa. Initially, he embarked on his artistic career as a graphic designer and served as an Art Director for an advertising agency in Des Moines. During his time in the advertising industry, he was honored with 52 Addy Awards for his creative contributions.

However, in response to the economic repercussions of the 9/11 events, Bearden made a pivotal decision to transition careers and pursue sculptural art using metal as his primary medium. Since then, he has dedicated himself to creating sculptures that showcase his artistic vision.

His diverse series, including Cathedral, Assemblage, Voids, Lunar Blooms, and Animals, highlight his extensive artistic talent and demonstrate his versatility across different themes and styles.

Bearden's artwork has been widely recognized and appreciated, earning him a place in corporate, municipal, and prominent private collections. His sculptures can be found in various esteemed art collections, further solidifying his reputation as an accomplished and respected artist in the field of abstract sculpture.
