Description
Pierre Jeanneret, French Mid-Century Modern, Dirty Linen Basket, Cane, Teak, Chandigarh, India c. 1960s
Rare 'Dirty Linen' box designed by Pierre Jeanneret for Chandigarh, India. This piece can also be used as a side table or coffee table in decorative settings. The box has been lightly washed, very lightly polished and has faded markings indicating provenance. The wear to the wood and strong patina is an indication of age - we ensure to preserve patina as best as possible. Dimensions vary slightly due to the handmade nature of this design. Our gallery has served the world of high design for over 40 years and we personally guarantee each and every item we sell. We have been a leading seller on all luxury vintage marketplaces with hundreds of five star reviews.
Other French designers of the period include Jean Prouvé, Maison Jansen, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Paulin, Yves Klein, Jacques Adnet, Jean Royere, Pierre Chapo, Philippe Starck, Audoux Minet, Andre Arbus, Le Corbusier, Jean Nouvel
