Russian Neoclassical, Louis XVI, Commode, Mahogany, Bronze, Marble, France, 19th C
A Louis XVI cabinet designed and produced in France in the second half of the 19th century. The cabinet is comprised of Mahogany having bronze florets in each of the corners as well as reeded bronze detailing from the top of the second row of drawers to the bottom of each leg. Square directoire bronze handles adorn each of the five drawers. A thick slab of white marble with a light grey vein sits on the top of the cabinet. The drawers sit two over three graduating.
