A large and impressive bow front cabinet by world renowned NYC cabinetmaker Schmieg & Kotzian. This nine piece assembled unit was one of Schmieg and Kotzian signature pieces custom made for the finest of dignitaries and clientele. The bracket foot base supporting a three piece bow front sideboard cabinet with the bow front center section having six flame solid mahogany fitted drawers flanked by two fitted shelved side cabinets. The sideboard leading to a large satinwood and flame mahogany three piece showcase or bookcase top having a large and sleek bow front center flanked by matching sides all with fitted shelved interiors. This breakfront / bookcase can be used with or without the center drawers if the size needs to be adjusted.
The whole of solid mahogany and satinwood inlays. Comes complete with the original documents for assembly as well as the original custom blueprint for construction.

Schmieg and Kotzian was a well-known furniture manufacturing company in New York City for many generations. Their clients included the Waldorf Astoria, the Supreme Court, and New York's social elite.
