Description
A weathered patina gives this vintage wooden buffet an air of romantic mystery. Built in China at the turn of the century, the cabinet is richly decorated with motifs of flowers and traditional scenes from Chinese paintings. The years have worn the surface of the lacquer to a unique, patinated finish, obscuring the faces of the figures in the scenes and revealing the rich red tone of the painted underlay. The hammered design of the metal lock piece, which closes with an original key, adds a delightfully authentic finishing touch.
