High Rosewood Sideboard, Vittorio Dassi 50's
Majestic Italian sideboard from the 1950s, designed by Vittorio Dassi, veneered in rosewood.

Its surface is covered by black painted glass, which is distributed in a staggered manner, with the side modules higher than the central part.

The front also has a recessed shape, so the side modules stick out, leaving the central part more sunken. These side modules are two small cupboard doors decorated with rosewood marquetry in the shape of a herringbone and gilded bronze handles with keyholes.

The central door folds horizontally like a bar cabinet. The back of the door is veneered in lemongrass and the interior walls are covered with mirror glass. The door has a lock with a decorative key that is inserted through the top of the cabinet.

It is worth highlighting the decoration on the front of this central door, which features a low relief made of carved and gilded wood, with a beautiful scene in the purest Art Deco style with human figures in profile. The representation alludes to board games, with dice, cards and chess figures, as well as doves and butterflies.

Under the central door there is a curved shelf made of rosewood. The lower part of the unit is completely open at the front and has a black glass base as a shelf.
