Charming late 19th century Italian side table/ chest of drawers from the so-called "baroque revival" period. Beautifully handcrafted around 1880, this fantastic shaped small side table/ commode stands on long, elegantly curved solid nutwood feet which are additionally adorned by handcarved shell motives. The great designed front as well as the top plate were venereed with fine poplar and confers this piece a very unique appearance. The remaining parts of this antique Italian side table show a lovely nutwood surface. A beautiful example of small Italian baroque revival furniture from the late 19th century for a real competitive price - coming in old restored condition.
