This elegant and very rare Biedermeier extendable table is the best example of top-quality Viennese piece from circa 1825.

Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

This rare Viennese walnut extendable piece is beautifully veneered in walnut. The table stands on four block legs and when unfolded on eight legs which provide a very stable base for this large fine piece. This early Viennese table has a remarkably modern design for a 200 year old piece.
The table top has a lovely highly figured walnut book-matched veneer accentuated by a deep light amber tone and 200 years old patina.

The table has two leaves that can be easily added. When fully extended, the table offers seating for approx. 10-12 people. The table construction is very solid and stable
