Description
Probably French.
The oval crossbanded top with original inset green tooled leather panel. The plain frieze set to each end with a drawer mounted with gilt bronze palmette handles. The base with lyre form ends centered by carved anthemions and raised on plain plinth with scrolling feet. The ends united by an arched reeded stretcher. Circular cut outs below top indicate the piece may have originally been conceived as a lavabo with detachable top. -
