Description
Fine quality 19th century pedestal desk constructed with the best cuts of Honduras mahogany.
English circa 1860
Extremely well proportioned being 4 1/2 feet wide by 2 1/2 feet deep, the rectangular moulded top banded in mahogany with a newly fitted blind and gilt tooled black leather writing insert over three frieze drawers each being cockbeaded, retaining their original screw fitted wooden knob handles.
Raised on twin pedestals, each contained three graduated conforming drawers seated on a moulded plinth base with recessed hidden castors.
This quality desk has been constructed to the highest standards using the best cuts of imported Honduras mahogany which have mellowed to a lovely colour. In excellent condition ready for home use.
