    A FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED & MARQUETRY CIRCULAR CENTER TABLE

    France, Circa 1900

    In the Louis XVI style the marquetry inlaid circular top decorated with exotic woods depicting musical instruments and foliage and bordered with a garland of scrolls and flowers. Raised by a baluster form wood column, ornately shaped and mounted with gilt bronze fixtures supported by a triform base and a flanking trio of gilt bronze S-scroll buttresses.
