Aldo Tura large goatskin parchment dining table 1960s
-
Description
This unique Aldo Tura dining table was produced in Italy in the late 1960s, and really feels imposing and glamorous. The lacquered goatskin parchment, in rich shades of brown and dark brown, makes this dining table typical of designer Aldo Tura signature. It features a large oval top, resting on two strong circular feet also covered with lacquered goatskin parchment, finished with a brushed steel base. The table is 86.6 inches wide, and also features a 23.6 inches wide table extension made in lacquered sapelli, bringing the extended version to 110.2 inches wide. Following the glamorous Italian Mid-century look of other classic Aldo Tura pieces, with the combination of brushed steel and lacquered goatskin all around, this table is a highly decorative piece, and exudes 1960s and 1970s lavish Italian flair. It has been fully restored and relacquered, and is found in an amazing condition. A very rare find, and a true timeless Mid-Century Italian beauty.
