American Painted Table with Decoupage Tray Top

Description
This mid-20th century American table, with canted corners, one shelf and a removable tray top, is painted a mottled green. The tray top has two brass handles and an inset decoupage decorated glass top with nineteenth century colored engraving cut-out of parrots and other exotic birds. The taste for decoupage was popularized in the mid-19th century, and enjoyed a revived popularity in the mid-20th century.
