This stunning Art Deco Machine Age Occasional table was realized in France circa 1935. It features stylized streamlined and channeled claw form feet in lustrous black lacquer that support a streamlined base in bookmatched burled walnut. The subtly conical channeled walnut body rests on an hourglass form black lacquer embellishment topped. The table top is circumscribed in black lacquer and offers four perfectly book matched panels with an inlaid scalloped border in beautiful burled walnut. With its iconic Art Deco materials and forms, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate objects from the period as well as those with a penchant for all things exquisite. This piece has been newly restored to mint condition.
