The table 'Chained up Miami' is an important dining table with structure in mirror polished stainless steel and top in Calacatta marble, origin: Tuscany.
Every single bangle is welded and highly polished by hand. The mirror-like finishing of the steel creates different perceptions of this particular material and allows interesting reflections of light.
Dining table dimension: L 320 x W 120 x H 76 cm.
The inspiration for this table came from observing the gigantic iron chains which are used for tying up the enormous container ships or transatlantic cruisers. Spending hours at the port of Ancona we were intrigued by finding a way to build a table structure in the shape of a chain, every bangle connected to the other. Closing the chain, yet achieving a stabile structure while at the same time not losing the esthetic beauty of the finished artwork was the challenge this table had up for us.
Each table is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved). 100% handmade in Italy, comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity”.
