This elegant Biedermeier birch pedestal table is the best example of high quality Austrian piece from circa 1830.

Austrian Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

This sleek Biedermeier piece is beautifully veneered in birch and sided on a hexagonal column which is set on an elaborately designed base with ebonized feet.

The table top has a lovely highly figured rare type of birchbook-matched veneer accentuated by a deep amber tone and 190 years old patina.

The pieces will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
