1950s Italian "Cigno" bar cart by Cesare Lacca, rare

Sold Sold
  • Description
Naples-born Italian architect Cesare Lacca (b.1929) is a bit of an enigma - who created a large body of work from the 1950s - however mostly bar carts and service trolley survive to this day as his known designs. He worked in lacquered wood/metals - always with sinuous lines and elegant forms. This is one of his rare pieces called "Cigno" or "Swan" cart with dark lacquered stylized wood frame, primary glass top and a smaller lower glass shelf, set of three brass holders near the base, on casters. Produced by the Italian firm F.lli Colombo, Cantù in 1950s
