Chippendale Tilt Top Tea Table
Pennsylvania, probably Philadelphia, ca. 1760-1775.
Mahogany.
Fine condition, repair to the ankle on one leg, old refinished surface.
The tea table has an impressive one board dish-top above a bird-cage supported by a turned shaft with a suppressed ball on a tripod base with cabriole legs ending on carved ball and claw feet.
Provenance: From a prominent North Carolina family collection.
