A handsome Italian walnut console table from the early 19th century with decoratively carved molding, turned baluster legs, plain side stretchers and bun feet. Created in Italy circa 1820, this walnut console table features a rectangular top with beveled edges, sitting above an apron with intricately carved bead-and-reel molding at the top, two recessed, trimmed and paneled drawers with hand-carved wooden pulls, and a molded and trimmed bottom edge. Supported by four turned baluster legs, connected to one another through plain stretchers with blocked corners resting on cylindrical bun feet, this table offers both stability and visual appeal. The most standout feature of this elegant console table is its dark patina, which adds character and depth to the piece and highlights the natural beauty of the walnut.
