Description
An exceptional coffee table from Mauritania made of acacia wood adorned with decorative copper, iron, and parchment. Circa 1910. Mauritania is located in the southern part of Morocco, western part of the Sahara Desert on the Atlantic coast, dwelled by Taureg Berber tribes. The table was used on Fridays, especially for receiving guests after the prayer and offering the guests a great couscous.
