Description
A large and impressive Empire style Gilt Bronze & Malachite center table. The table features a circular top, which has been beautifully inlaid with malachite and edged with gilt bronze, above a frieze featuring alternating rosettes and anthemia, supported by three winged gryphons (a mythical animal typically having the head, forepart, and wings of an eagle and the body, hind legs, and tail of a lion) each has a foliate lower body and stands on one leg, on a single paw foot and joined by a stretcher and resting on a circular base, featuring beautifully inlaid with malachite work.
