English 1780s Georgian Period Pine Mirror with Original Glass and Carved Swags

$ 4,950
  • Description
    An English Georgian period carved pine mantel mirror from the late 18th century, with carved swags. This horizontal George III mirror features a carved cornice overhanging an egg-and-dart frieze. The eye is immediately drawn to the exquisitely carved décor, made of ribbon-tied swags, paterae and ribbon-tied husks, framing the central original mirror. The great proportions, the grand simplicity of the pine finish and the skill shown on the carved décor, will make this English mirror circa 1780 a focal point in any living room, set above a fireplace.
