English 20th Century Zinc Top Console Table
-
Description
A fantastic console table or work table from England, early 20th century, featuring a zinc-plated top surface on painted wood legs. The dark gray metal sheet has wonderful texture and swirls of oxidation in matte texture, shaped to softly rounded corners. A plain apron (without drawer) is supported by four squared and tapered legs, held with wood dowel joinery. The base is currently painted a dark blue-green, although some white pigment from earlier coats peeks through. This rustic console would look and perform equally well in a kitchen or potting shed–wherever one needs an attractive and durable surface. Please view the detailed images.
