Federal Style Triple Pedestal Dining Table, 19th Century
-
Description
This is a classic Federal-style (English Regency period) triple pedestal dining table that dates to the late 19th century. The table measures 102" without the additional leaves and 128" with the inserts. The top is cross banded and the pedestal legs are carved in a traditional Federal style with the outswept legs ending in brass hairy paw feet and casters. The table is in good original condition and has been professionally polished, including the casters. There are slight traces of old writing that can only been seen at angle; we have chosen to retain the original antique surface, considering these imperfections to be patina acquired over almost 150 years of use.
