This stunning Biedermeier walnut pedestal table is the best example of top-quality Viennese piece from circa 1820. The table is a gorgeous example of early Biedermeier with Empire style influences.

Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

This rare Viennese walnut tilt-top piece is beautifully veneered in walnut. The table top blends lovely with elaborately designed and crafted at the highest level base. Three carved sphinx figures are painted with tempera and plated with gold leafs. On the middle of the tabletop is a beautiful rosette of light maple.
The table top has a gorgeous highly figured walnut book-matched veneer accentuated by a deep light amber tone and 200 years old patina.

This fine Viennese piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
This piece is very rare and tables of this quality are extremely difficult to find.
