French 19th Century Directoire-Style Writing Table

Description
This diminutive French 19th century Directoire-style mahogany writing table, c. 1890’s, features a gilt-tooled ochre leather top over a bank of two paneled drawers, each trimmed in brass and having brass escutcheons. The whole is raised on fluted and partially-gilt tapering legs ending in notched-brass sabot feet. The reverse is finished with a single brass-trimmed panel so it may be placed anywhere you wish.
