French 19th Century Large Oak Drapery Table
-
Description
Dimensions: 33 1/4? H x 116 3/8? W x 41 1/4? D
This monumental oak drapery table, circa 1870, is from France and is over nine and a half feet long! The surface is constructed of beautifully-planed oak planks. This large top rests upon an apron that joins six baluster-form turned legs with an under-tier shelf below. These incredible, turned legs impart an undeniably European influence, and give the table a style all its own. The antique is supported on spool-turned peg feet. The finish is rich and warm. This drapery table would make a great island in a larger kitchen with a shelf below, perfect for storing and/or displaying pots, pans, and other kitchen implements. -
