French 19th Century Restauration Console
-
Description
A handsome bird’s-eye maple console made in the Restauration style with a white marble top. The marble-top features patches and streams of veining with rounded front corners, and rests atop a large hidden drawer that also functions as the table’s apron. The top is supported by thick, S-scrolled brackets resting on a nautilus-form base. A lower shelf is slightly raised on round paw feet of intimidating detail. Please note the marble at the back left corner has been repaired to be as inconspicuous as possible. See detailed pictures for the current condition.
