French 19th Century Solid Oak Kitchen Island

Sold Sold
  • Description
A robust French 19th century solid oak work table handcrafted in France circa 1870. The two inch thick top is made up of five planks with a molded and trimmed edge that overhangs a simple apron supported by thick A-framed and decoratively chamfered legs conjoined by a hand-carved H-stretcher. The entire piece has a wonderful patina that showcases the woodgrain and adds to its rustic style. At counter height this antique work table would do well as a kitchen island or used as an artist’s table. Be sure to view all the images to get a better look at the details of this enduring, sturdy antique.
