An exceptional set of six Mira chairs custom made by George Nakashima in his New Hope Studio, circa 1959. Early work that was commissioned by using cherry wood. The Mira chair was named after George's daughter Mira and designed to be light and functional with a more organic silhouette that fit snuggly with dining table models.
The set was completely professionally refinished by Nakashima Studio in 2015 thus remaining in excellent condition. Copies of original order card accompany the table and the chairs.
It was part of a commission that including a dining table as shown in the detail pictures, the listing is for six chairs only as the table is no longer available. -
