Considered a founder of American modernist design, George Nelson (1908–1986), was an industrial designer, architect, author, editor and teacher - not to mention the Director of Design for Herman Miller from 1947 to1972. This versatile table classic, designed in 1954, has a white laminate top with maple veneer edging and a tapered pedestal base in white powder coated aluminum. This is an early version with metal Herman Miller tag to the underside. Good condition to top, some marks to base.
